Data Center Operator i/o Names Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data center operator i/o (www.iodatacenters.com) announced on Tuesday it has named Anthony J. D'Ambrosi in the newly created global role of chief sales and marketing officer.

The appointment comes just a couple weeks after i/o named Kevin Malik its chief information officer, David Shaw the new chief operating officer and Kathy Kim the company's VP of corporate communications.

He will drive the company's sales and marketing vision, brand, strategy and organization, as i/o expands its digital energy technology footprint across the enterprise data center market worldwide.

D'Ambrosi has had 24 years of multinational information and communications technology leadership experience. He has held senior positions at Reuters, Hewlett-Packard, Deutsche Telekom T-Systems and ACS.

Throughout his career, he has played a key role in global technology operations and vertical industry solutions practices.

"Anthony brings a unique blend of subject matter expertise in the successful marketing, sale and delivery of enterprise-wide IT products, services and solutions," said i/o CEO George Slessman. "His winning track record and ability to commercialize, market, and sell solutions on a global scale is well aligned with our commitment to serve our large enterprise customers and our global expansion."

D'Ambrosi joins i/o from CIBER where he was chief operating officer of the global ITO division.

In this role, he led the global strategy, business development and delivery operations for the ITO division line of business spanning end-user computing, infrastructure as a service, network and data center operations, managed application hosting and security operations.
